Potential Analysis

From a business standpoint, a release upgrade, upgrade preparations or an upcom-ing migration pose numerous identical questions. The predominant question is: "What needs to be tested?". Normally, the testing procedure for a user company ranges from the relevant standard functions to the customer-specific enhancements programmed by the user, in which case, not only identical questions arise but several other ones as well, such as "How much of the old SAP functionality can still be used in the new release?" or "Are all customer programs and transactions really being used?".

The answer to all these questions can be found by implementing the RBE Plus Potential Analysis, which builds on the RBE Plus Situation Analysis

The RBE Plus Potential Analysis provides a detailed look into an existing SAP system usage from a business standpoint. Information necessary for release, mi-gration and upgrade questions is extracted from the system. Emphasis is placed on recognizing the hidden potential in both used and unused business processes, master data and organizational areas within the SAP system. Furthermore, the ana-lysis helps identify special cases and exceptions in processing. The user also re-ceives evaluated information on organizational structure, transactions and quantity structures for significant master and transaction data.

The RBE Plus Potential Analysis deals not only with technical key figures, such as degree of usage and potential in business and core processes, but with master data and SAP functions as well.

The results derived from the analysis, lay the foundation for further customer re-lease, upgrade and/or migration activities. For example, you may receive recom-mendations for improved process usage, which in turn may entail changing custom-izing settings. Customer modifications are also addressed.
